ABOUTI grew up in different places throughout The Netherlands in a very internationally orientated family that considers art and culture a fundamental part of life. As a result, I am open- and globally-minded towards life and people.
This reflects my approach towards project management; I believe in creating possibilities and optimizing opportunities in close collaboration with artists and organisations.
I am spontaneous and proactive. There is always more to learn, more to do. I’m fluent in and have experience with copy work in both English and Dutch.
EDUCATIONI earned my BFA at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy from the Beeld en Taal department with a specialisation in creative writing, literature and fine art.
In 2019 I completed my Master of Arts (MA) in Museology from Amsterdam University of Arts, Reinwardt Academy. The Master of Museology is the study of museums and heritage and their role within society. It explores the history of museums, as well as the activities they engage in, including curating, preservation, public programming, and education. Museology is not just about what happens within museum walls; it studies heritage production at large and places the museum in its local and global contexts. The museum studies discipline covers theories and concepts from art, history, ethnic studies, archaeology and anthropology. My research thesis was about the role of ‘in-between spaces’ in modern and contemporary art museums and how they can contribute to inclusivity.
